If you have a blog maybe you are interested in monetizing your blog to make money. One of the most popular and best ways is to join Google AdSense.
Google AdSense gives blog owners the opportunity to display ads on their site in return, advertisers will pay for it. The payment is based on the clicks you get. This system is called pay per click (PPC) or pay per click (CPC).
However, Google AdSense is not the only site that provides advertisements for blogs. There are many other sites that offer the same thing. However, Google AdSense has major advantages over its competitors which make Google AdSense very popular.
But because of its popularity, many want to register and join Google AdSense. Unfortunately, many blog owners do not know what conditions are needed to be accepted by Google AdSense.
As the best ad provider, Google AdSense wants its bloggers to also be worthy enough based on their criteria to be included.
The registration process has several steps, starting with registration, verifying, reviewing and activating the account. During the review, the Google team will check the content on the blog and approve or reject the registration.
1. Using a top level domain (.com, .net, .org)
when registering for Google AdSense you should already use a top level domain (TLD) for example, mysite.com. mysite.net or mysite.org because sites with TLDs have a greater chance of being approved.
Avoid registering with:
Using for subdomains or subdirectories
Entering page URL instead of domain URL
Blogger/blogspot sites can indeed be registered for an AdSense account. However self-hosted sites will generally be approved faster than “free” sites.
2. Using a New Domain
Have you confirmed that your domain is really new? You can check it on Archive.org to see if your site is brand new or not. Generally, a new domain that has never been registered before has a greater chance of being accepted than a previously registered domain.
But that doesn't mean you can't register with an old domain. If you meet the qualifications of course Google AdSense will be happy to accept your blog to be a part of them
3. You must become the full owner of the domain
The AdSense registration process requires you to verify domain ownership. This is done by inserting the ad code between the header section of your site. So make sure you have root access to your site before applying for registration.
Otherwise you cannot verify the site and your site will not be reviewed at all.
4. Good Quality Content
Google AdSense really takes user experience as a condition for them. The most important user experience, of course, is the usefulness of the content to the reader.
In addition, the type of content or keywords you use will affect the price per click later. Don't let your site be poor in content when registering for Google AdSense. Even if your blog doesn't have decent content, and inserting ad code from an approved Google AdSense account will risk being marked as spam and getting banned.
So before you start listing Google AdSense, make sure you are creating a decent amount of content.
5. Age Limit
Google AdSense requires ad publishers or blog owners to be at least 18 years of age when registering. Google AdSense allows a parent or guardian to register a blog using their account. Payment will be sent to the account holder in the form of a parent or guardian even if the blog is managed by someone who is less than 18 years old.
6. Read the Google AdSense terms and conditions
Like anything else, Google AdSense also asks registrants to read the terms and conditions. Often people miss this. Though it could be you get important information in it. You can read carefully what is written there so you can understand correctly about Google AdSense.
Another important thing is that you really understand the ins and outs of Google AdSense. By understanding it properly, you can see the point of view of advertisers who want as many people as possible to click on their ads, the point of view of your readers who don't want to see too many ads and the point of view of Google AdSense as the ad provider that offers you and advertisers.
7. Your blog is at least 6 months old
Signing up for Google AdSense and getting approved was easy a decade ago when Google AdSense was launched. But now that is not an easy thing to do. Not only because of the increasing age of Google AdSense, but the number of poor quality blogs that have been registered, making Google AdSense add more stringent rules for registering to ensure accepted sites are proper sites and Google AdSense also has a domain age limit.
Domain age is not an absolute thing that is generally accepted, but some countries in Asia apply it. Simply put, building a site for 6 months is decent enough to be accepted because it has enough content, good quality, and increased visitors. However if you already have enough content, and visitors, less than 6 months of age may be accepted. But it would be nice at the beginning you focus on the development of the blog.
8. Check Supported Languages
Most bloggers don't realize that Google AdSense is not supported in all languages. Maybe you are interested in creating a site in the local language of Indonesia or in the language of another country. But have you made sure that Google AdSense supports these languages? For that, check again the following languages supported by Google AdSense:
Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Danish, Estonian, Finnish, Finnish, German, Greek, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian , Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Romanian Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Filipino, Hindi, Malay, Bengali, Urdu, and Malay
9. Check Content Categories
Google AdSense does not accept sites that have the following content types:
Pornographic content, Dangerous or degrading content, Recreational drugs and drug-related content, Alcohol-related content, Tobacco-related content, Health related content, Hack and crack content, Pages that offer compensation programs, Wrong content, Violent content, Weapon-related content, Content that allows dishonest behavior, Illegal content
so make sure your blog content is not one of the content categories above. But if indeed your content belongs to the content category above, you can try Google AdSense alternatives which are widely available but no less good than Google AdSense. :)
